thanks for the reply ray, i remembered you as soo as i saw your name. what i need is a letter from someone that servered whit me that remembers riding the launch truck that was on the flightline and near the primeter of the base. i have diabetes and cancer AND NEED SOME EVIDENCE FROM SOMEONE. Ray would it be possible for you to write me a letter stating that you remember me riding on the launch truck. I need someone to write a letter stating that they remember me being on the launch truck at the primeter of the base. I'm trying to get agent orange, I have had colon cancer, lung cancer ( had to have 1/2 of one lung removed & a wedge of the other one) I'm also a diabetic. My Dr found another spot on my lung this week & I will have another surgery in the next couple of weeks. I was turned down for agent orange because there is no record of me being on the launch truck. There was a fire that destroyed a lot of records. My VA representative said I could get AO benefits if someone remembered me & wrote a letter stating so. The letter needs to state that you were there with me on the premiter, what unit you were in & the year. Being on the base doesn't count you had to be on the premiter. Anything you can do for me would be appreciated. If I can do anything for you let me know. I live in Florida moved here 5 years ago from Ky. Would you mind sending me your email address. Hello Don. I recently assisted a Takhli vet (pilot) in his efforts to get the VA to concede exposure. I used a lot of evidence to include maps, photos, lay statements, etc. to show that his service was near the perimeter. I'm happy to discuss with you.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 6 years ago, and to my knowledge I am the only one in my family to have it. I understand that it was used at Takhli while I was there from Feb. 1967 to Feb. 1968. Any information on this anyone can send me will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Craig, did you receive the Vietnam service ribbon? What about your pay records. They might help. Funny but I still have most of my T.D.Y. orders for other places but not Thailand. Have a friend that was there at the same time who was in supply. He doesn't remember any orders either. Good luck. Claude
