I vaguely remember you. I worked in the Avionics Lab that was built especially for support of the Combat Lancer projecyt at Takhli. I was an inertial nav systems tech.

Can't place your name but I was on the flight line and at the last worked for Col Everest and Col Heth. The last I talked to Col Heth a few years ago he was in charge of logistics for the aussie F-111 updates at Lockheed in Fort Worth.

I recently found this thread.
I have a flight helmet that is identical to those I have seen from Harvest reaper/Combat lancer that has the nick name "PB" on the visor cover & the name Boon written inside the helmet on one of the custom made earphone holder. I have been searching for info on this pilot or Weapons system operator. The helmet is identical to that worn by Bill Coltman during that deployment (gold in color with a dark blue visor cover with the "mission Impossible" decal on the rear. Hoping someone may remember this individual.

I was a jet mech with 428 TFS from its inception until Jan 1970. Walked the elephants in Tahkli.

I was a Navy Chief with this group. Avionics...Commander "Spade" Cooley was a friend, lost in one of the missing birds. Would like to find Msgt Bill Akers.

I was the crew chief on 022 & 024 both birds lost along with the crews. I remember the sad loss of the crews those nights when the birds never came home.
