In a post to this message board Chuck provided this account of one part of his time at Takhli:
"I was detailed from 347th AMS Comm/Nav/ECM to drive flightline shuttle during the Gas crisis."
From what i can piece together Chuck's time at Taklhi was August 73 to July 74 when the 347th was activated at our Base. I believe he also served a Takhli tour from Nov 71 to Mar 72 in Comms.

Chuck was a co-moderator on this Message Board and handled most of the Approvals. He usually beat me to that moderation step. I didn't know how he did it so fast and conscientiously.
With Chuck's passing I am the only one with moderatation duty and I need a second person just to protect the Board from having one person as single point of failure. It's pretty simple - I set a co-mod up and we both receive a message from Boardhost telling of a new message. Either Moderator logs in to the Admin part of Boardhost then sees the new message and gives it an Accept or Reject. This keeps spam off the Board and a better experience for all. Otherwise the Board is overun with off-topic ads and commentary and soon nobody bothers to view any of the traffic.
If you feel a calling to assist please contact me at rjw@kcsky.net and we'll go over it but this message pretty much explains the duty. I'd deem it "light duty" and you don't even need a note from the Flight Surgeon's office.
My thanks to Chuck for the many years he assisted me. Much appreciated and it kept the traffic flowing when I was away from a connection to the internet. Every Board or website needs a backup with moderation privileges.
