SOME POSTING GUIDELINES FOR THIS MESSAGE BOARD

GENERAL:

Do not upload personally identifying information such as your USAF Serial number or your Social Security number. Be cautious also about including full name and address or phone number as all information is available to everyone around the world with web access - so keep identity theft in mind for yourself and others. Moderators may intercept messages that could pose problems for yourself or others but primary responsibility lies with the person doing the upload.

All messages go through an approval step to keep spam and off-topic material off the Board. There may be a delay of a day or two between posting a message and seeing it appear on the Board. The Board is ad-free and spam-free via the moderation step.

Please be cautious in providing "too much" personal info such as phone numbers - everything on this board is viewable to anyone with web access - likewise if you make contact with another poster take it slow and trade an introductory email or two in the beginning to be sure of your correspondent.


Post a Message:


You will see a place to type your Name, Email Address and Subject and below those lines you will see a place to type in the body of your message.

Please be cautious in providing "too much" personal information such as phone numbers or home addresses as everything posted on this board is viewable to anyone with web access.

Likewise- When making contact with another poster be cautious and take it slow when sharing information with each other until you are sure of you correspondent.

Post a Picture:

Each message composition window includes an UPLOAD option at the bottom of the window - images may be posted with a new message or in a reply.

Please type the word IMAGE in the Subject line followed by the name of the picture.
Example: IMAGE F-105F on Takeoff roll

Uploads should be in JPG or GIF format - a few others such as PNG and TIF are also allowed. No PDF files -the Boardhost system will reject PDF uploads.

Please limit each message to two images and include whatever caption info you have and feel will help others to enjoy and understand the image or doc. Dates and units are particularly useful. If posting images from another vet - please give credit and if possible get an ok from that vet for images or docs.


Post a Document:

Please type the word DOC in the Subject line followed by brief description.

Keep docs which might include maps or text documents on our core topic of Takhli - share and enjoy your old photos and sanitized info pertaining to VA claims. Some things will still need to be passed by email due the personal info included in the DOC or IMAGE

Scan docs in JPG format. No PDF - they won't upload.
