Impossible to prove without DOD paperwork. Been researching this last couple of years. Unless you have tdy, combat pay records, and etc records, a paper trail its not going to happen. Buddy letters don't work unless they have paperwork proving that person had a stop over. Even if you know which airlines flew with a layover, you still have to prove you were on that flight that stopped. Talking to vso's, the government did not keep records on who flew on what private charters to southeast Asia. Give it your best shot, but know your probably up against the wall finding proof of your lay over.
