Re: Does anyone remember an early 1964 event in U. S.
No to both Steve and Bob. Cuba was Oct 21,62 for me.I have found one person in 49 years of asking people if they had ever heard of this incident. Shortly after these guys got back from the "hush hush" mission there was a small article in the Shreveport Times which is a major paper in Louisana about the USAF losing two C135 acft in the Bermuda Triangle which of course no questions were asked because of where it happened.I thought at the time two acft at once was unusual. There was never anything ever mentioned in the news about this. I never thought of it again until after I was discharged in Feb. 66. I read about this event in a magazine in 66 0r 67 and all the dots connected.People who might remember this would be troops that were on fighter bases mainly on the east coast. The guy that conformed my thoughts said there so many fighters at his base there wasn't enough grounding points P.S. Cuba is a good start. I believe it still might be secret. the dots that connected were the planes leaving and returning from the hush hush mission, losing two C135 acft and reading a magazine article where the dates and two 135's were lost..
