We watched it pass and roll out of sight around the curve west of the depot. As we thought we heard the horn fading softer into the distance we realized the horn was actually getting louder. An eastbound was approaching. They had met on the double track and now it roared into view and across the Pennsy diamond eastbound.
As we stood on the platform watching the caboose disappear in the distance a head light appeared from another westbound! Three trains all within sight or sound of each other. What a day of railfaninng that had been. Nothing left to do now but go home and run model trains. There were no real trains left to come.
