That would be a real challenge to show the whole state in one map. There are so many abandoned lines, even many in my lifetime. When I was a kid my uncle would ay something like "the tracks used to go here...." and I would wonder how he knew that. Now that I am older I understand because I know of many place where I can remember tracks that are now gone.

That's why this website hows them by county The map would have to be huge to show them all at once. You'll just have to start counny by county.

From "Michigan History" look at the line above to find "railroad history." Then over on the right side click on "maps." There are many maps by county and many show abandoned lines.
