In Grand Rapids the line sees occasional use from Hughart yard area down to the ex Steelcase plant at 36th Street. Lumber yard at 32nd gets an occasional car and they were storing bulkhead flats southeast of 36th Street but that was a year or two ago.
Up well into the 70's and 80's there were many customers and the afternoon yard drag would pull thirty or more cars daily from the NYC yard down to Steelcase and Spartan Stores and work their way back northwestward to home.
