When did access to the Charlevoix depot ever involve a back-up move?? The tracks ran north-south right by the depot on the east side of town. I took a couple photos of the depot back in 1973 when it was still open and the swing bridge was still operational. However, I'm pretty sure that at Manistee, the passenger trains had to make a back-up move from/to C&O Jct to the depot south of the swing bridge there.
