Michigan Northern ran a passenger train over this stretch for a short while in the early 80's, just before their demise. If I recall correctly, there was a big land (bluff) collapse along the RTW on the west side of the track. That was the end of MN's dream. Shortly after that, when the Wawatam boat quit running, that was the end of MN.
