The locomotive you rode behind was a leased woodburner, ex-Florida & Gulf #18. It was used while the C&LC's primary locomotive, 2-8-2 #2 was in Chicago for filming the movie "Gaily, Gaily." The #18 is now in a metal A-frame building in Hooper, NE.

The #2, having recently completed a FRA mandatory 15-year overhaul, is in what is quite probably the world's tallest steam locomotive enginehouse. The wooden building is a WWII blimp hanger at Tillamook, OR. Blimps were used to patrol the coasts looking for submarines.
