A southbound has just "knocked down" (taken) the signal at the north end of Blackmar siding located between Saginaw and Birch Run in the mid 70's. Lead unit (and I think 2nd also) is a GP30. Although the C&O GP30's were numbered in the 3000 series, the B&O versions were in the 6900 series. The signals in this photo date back to 1928 when the PM installed CTC between Hoyt and Mt. Morris, one of the earliest installations of CTC in the United States! Many of them are still in service today on this segment under LSRC, however the siding at Blackmar has now been eliminated.
