The CSX mainline has two tracks both north and south of the diamond with NS. Just south of the diamond is a crossover from the east side main to the west side main. There is a siding on the west side of the CSX tracks between Van Born and Annapolis Rd's south of the diamond as well. There is also a crossover west main to east north of Wayne near Glenwood Rd. On CSX there is a yard access track off the west main just north of Michigan Ave. The bridge of Michigan Ave is 3 tracks wide.
The CSX Wayne Yard has 7 autorack loading tracks, which appear to hold four racks each. There are an additional 13 stub tracks in the yard as well. The eastern most yard track, plus the yard lead track from north of Michigan Ave join together to form a wye track to the NS yard lead. On the east side of the main is the another wye track which also serves as the base for several service and storage tracks for facilities listed as "Environmental Quality, Ferrolux Metal, Alco Transportation, and Boise Building Materials Distribution. On a storage spur are several coil cars and on the wye track itself is an empty centerbeam. There are 4 tracks going into this complex of the wye track, plus two storage tracks heading south. The wye track is actually split into two tracks, possibly as a runaround track.
Starting at the NS Bridge over Wayne RD there is one main track and one extended siding. The tracks then cross Wayne Rd and there is siding off the north extended siding that has 5 coil cars split with Elizabeth St intersecting them. This siding joins the extended siding, then immediately the wye track / service track to the above mentioned businesses splits off the extended siding. There is a siding that goes back into the property with a switchback going to the building. Just west of this the wye goes north towards CSX and a switch goes back to the extended siding.
Just east of the Diamond the NS mainline splits from 1 main to two mains. This means there are three tracks, south main, north main, and extended siding (service track) crossing CSX. There is a track connecting the service track / extended siding with the north side main.
After crossing to the west side of the diamond, the service track merges with the wye from CSX. This track then serves as the yard lead for the 8 track NS yard. The north main track then splits off the main and passes by the yard office and serves as a running track which NS has a parked mixed freight sitting on in the picture. (there are also a pair of NS units sitting on the track closest to the Ford plant as well. Just west of the yard office a siding goes off the south side main.
For a stretch the alignment of NS tracks is as follows from north-south. 8 yard tracks, siding off the north main, north main, south main, and siding off the south main.
The yard tracks then generally come together and give the following alignment. Service track, north running track, north main, south main, south siding. There is then an unused siding off the south siding to another part of the complex (but it doesn't enter the building). Then you have a switch between the north main and the running track allowing trains from the main into the running track.
The tracks then hide behind some trees, but the south siding merges back into the south main and the running track merges into the service track, giving a short stretch of only 3 tracks (service, north main, south main). The service track then sends a spur north. This contains 2 apparently unused (one largely removed) sidings, and a track continuing to loop north. This looping north track goes to the autorack loading area, which is 4 tracks wide. These tracks appear to hold up to 7 autoracks each.
The service track extends west to Hannan Road north of the two mains.
In conclusion, CSX is two mains both north and south of Wayne. NS is 1 main east of Wayne, and two mains from Wayne west to Ypsilanti IIRC.
