Hi, Don. The C&WM line that existed for a few years from Waverly north thru Nunica to Fruitport crossed the Grand River. There is absolutely nothing visible at the bridge location, not even excavations or grades.

At the time this line operated, I believe there were ferryboats operating on the Grand River so a simple trestle wouldn't have been practical. Do you have any knowledge or source for information on what kind of moveable bridge existed there?

Or, maybe they simply ferried cars across on a barge! That would seem plausible given the total lack of footings, excavations, etc.
