Things have changed significantly. The paper mill, St Mary's Paper, was shut down, some buildings have been re-purposed and other buildings have been taken down.

Algoma Central now only operates freight between Hawk Junction and Hearst. No freight has moved between Sault Ste Marie and Hawk Jct since mid-April last year. Steel products go west thru the U.P. on the CN.
