Mike here, conductor on the Amtrak wolverine trains. It's that time of year where I'm thinking of visiting the UP for some train watching and had a few questions. A while back some guy posted very recent pictures of the Baldwin sharks in Escanaba and had gotten a nice tour from Mr. Larkin. I thought that was pretty unusual, but I've always found lots of surprises in this hobby. I was wondering if the 300 has been out at all? The past 2 years the switch was supposedly out of service to its shed? I'd really like to see that engine one of these days. Also, are any of the SD9s being used? What is the current power situation on the ELS and at Wells. Also, is the LS&I still running the greens often? Any updates on the power of either railroad would be appreciated. Thank you.
