Man, with social media and the internet, Newsprint factories have really taken a beating the last 10 or so years. A lot of them have simply shut the doors and ran away. Our local newspaper (The Flint Journal) closed it's printing presses about 4 years ago, and merged with the Saginaw News. The journal is only printed 4 days a week now, and it costs 1.50 per copy, and sometimes is only about 10 pages. Pretty pricey for what you get.
