Some snow is still on the ground and still clean looking. Sun was out so I took a drive north to see if the E&LS was out running south of Crivitz. Ran into them just after they left Stiles Jct. Caught the power getting wound up for the short climb south of Stiles:

Then caught the train coasting through Abrams, WI near the Post Office:

Train was 50 loads and 11 empties for 5,800 tons. This made for a nice show up the hill between Timberline Road and Stiles Tower Road. The loads were 32 pulpwood, 17 box car laods of OSB from LP in Sagola, MI and a centerbeam that was probably OSB from LP also. The empties were 3 covered hoppers from storage, 7 LPG tank cars from Crivitz and an empty tank car from LP. The E&LS has pretty much been sticking to their schedule of coming south to Green Bay 2 or 3 times per week. Usually Tues, Fri ans Sun although it has been a couple weeks since they have made a Sunday run. Not surprisingly, hauling LPG loads to Lakes Gas in Crivitz has been big business this winter.
