I ran two of the last three U30C's the LS&I have in operation yesterday. It was the 7 Yard out of Eagle Mills. We made two light pulls out of the Tilden Mine and cleaned up a jackpot under the Tilden pocket. This required me to pull a loaded car that had the doors spring open trough a huge pile of spilled ore. The car had to be draged down the track until all the ore spilled out, all hopefully without derailing the car. The U30C consist was perfect for this as I had a lot of instant power and control. These engines sound and smell like an old garbage truck rattling down the road, but so far they are still running strong. I had the 3003-3009.
