These photos were taken on 7-5 of the remnants of the old carferry dock at Manistique, MI. Manistique was one of four ports of call for the Ann Arbor RR carferries. The Manistique & Lake Superior RR connected with the ferry route, and then ran northward to the former DSS&A line at Shingleton and with the LS&I at Doty. The AA ended ferry service here in 1968.
The photos were taken from the east side of the river. I did not venture across to the other side to see how close I could get to it.
