No, I kind of screwed up in that I lost track of days and was there on Thursday. We still enjoyed our time. Watched a few boats move through. Got to watch the (bascule?) train bridge open to allow an upbound boat to pass as they used the inner lock on this day. The lift bridge is always up unless a train comes through. Got to talk with a knowledgeable gentleman who, among other things, rode the Wawatam in the late '70s and he said he filmed the experience. I urged him to post, lend or otherwise donate it to some soul here who would make sure it is permanently recorded and stored. Gave him the site name. Otherwise, in the next year or 2 my family and I may try to incorporate a trip on the CORRECT day as well as catch Curtis train day. Maybe even stay a few days in Trout Lake.
