I spend some time in Pigeon this week for while both kids were playing ball at Pigeon Rotar Park. The north edge of the park runs along the load out spur to Cooperative Elevator's Edible Bean Plant. There were two LRS (Laurinburg and Southern) boxcars on the west end of that spur. There were two strings of boxcars on the old PO&N stub that ends at Berne Road. The north string had 15 cars and the southern string had 8 cars.
