I combined all the lumber and railroad journal materials I have accumulated into one PDF file that I have found useful as a quick reference. It is chronological, from 1875 to 1919, and has, for example, Poor's Manual of Railroads, Poor's Directory of Railway Officials, American Lumberman, Northwestern Lumberman, Southern Lumberman, Register of Sawmill Equipment, and several more, for a total of 28 items. It has been uploaded to Internet Archive, where it can be viewed and downloaded (189 MB, so takes a bit of time to load up on screen) at no charge:
