It crossed the Saginaw River into Foss Yard at 10:15pm and continued south with 3 huge csx ES44 engines and 89 grain cars.
It went through Saginaw yard at 11:40 towards Flint.
It's nice to see big heavy trains.
On a side note:
HESR WORKED AROUND THE CLOCK THIS LAST WEEKEND REPLACING TIES IN THE BAY CITY WENONA YARD WHICH WAS BUILD BY THE MICHIGAN CENTRAL AND OCCUPIED BY THE NEW YORK CENTRAL/PENN CENTRAL UNTIL AROUND 1978.
THERES A PILE OF ABOUT 2,000 USED TIES STACKED ALONG THE SOUTH TRACK-2 WHILE THEY FINISH. WOULD IMAGINE THEY WILL BE HAULED UP TO ALPENA BY THE LAKESTATE TO BE BURNED IN THE STONE FOUNDRY UP THERE.
