About the time the city closed Broadway, King demolished the Michigan Wire building and then built a new concrete warehouse / distribution facility. They also built 2 new wheat bins more than doubling their storage capacity. They have made a significant investment in the facility.
It used to be the inbound wheat trucks would line up thru the fairgrounds. Now there's much less wheat grown locally and there's at least 2 more truck unloading pits so no line up anymore.
GDLK used to deliver cuts fairly regularly. Now CSX slams the GR stuffing the yard full less regularly. Still, lots of inbound King traffic.
