A couple of days ago on Facebook there were several posts about Captain Bob down bound for Saint Clair, and when it arrived and got tied up, Captain Bob was going home for good. Retired!!!

On the Interlake Steamship Company's Facebook page there were many comments about it. I just copied this one:

Best Wishes Captain Bob for your upcoming retirement!! You’ve earned it …..enjoyed following you from my home in Tofte MN and watching the Paul R Tregurtha on Lake Superior!

There are probably thousands of people all around the world that follow BOATNERD and other sites that are about the Great Lakes Freighters.

I thought maybe Elba Steve would like to know this.
