Yesterday afternoon, about 3:00 pm on June 1, I saw an unusual train come trough Tree City on the Michigan Central line: 2 NS engines and 59 lime
green Amtrak cars, apparently filled with ballast.
When will the investment in the updating of the
Michigan Central line be completed? May we expect
3:30minute service from Detroit to Chicago? Will Norfolk Southern dispatch more merchandise train across this line to capitalize upon the investment in improving track speed?
