Nice photo and lighting! Back in the dark ages when I was dispatching, that move "on the left" would have been against the current of traffic and required a train order. Of course now it's all CTC for movement in either direction or either track by signal indication. In my day, the order would be worded "Extra BNSF 3972 South has right over opposing trains on No 1 track Carleton to crossover Erie." Would require Alexis to block his signal northbound onto No 1 track.
