Pretty sure it was. Looks line the train on the left side of the frame was supposed to stop for a signal at the end of the double track and failed to do so before the signal. The train from the right continued through the switch and hit the train head on. I would guess the collision happened right about at the switch between the double and single track. I never heard a cause for this wreck, if it was mechanical or engineer error.
