I'm somewhat confused as to exactly what you are asking...if I get it, CSX Port Huron trains (#D-711) are made up in Flint McGrew, that is, put together from "blocks" of cars that come in on #D-735 daily train out of Detroit Rougemere yard. Mostly tanks. Some may also, come from Lake State, but I'm not sure on that point. Anyway, #D-711 gets manifested in Flint, gets instructions for movement within the yard to do their work, and movement to CN trackage by the Jacksonville dispatcher, then gets clearance to leave south to the Longway connector track which takes them to east Flint to gain CN mainline trackage. (Longway connector is CN-old GTW mainline). At this time, CSX crew will call CN dispatcher, compare manifest, crew, consist, and so forth, and give dispatcher an approx time for arrival at east Flint to gain CN track. If everything is good, CN dispatcher will give the CSX crew instruction to follow "signal indication" upon their arrival there. Also, any meets that might occur on their trip, or track bulletins will be given. That gets them onto CN track, and off they go. Once they get to Port Huron, their return train is supposed to be already made up and ready for them to swap out their train with the new one, and the return to Flint is done similar to the way they leave Flint. Once back into Flint, and on the Longway connector, CSX gets "yarding instructions" and clearance to navigate back into McGrew yard, from Jacksonville dispatcher. For the past several months, this is/has been a 6 day a week train, symboled #D-711 both ways. Rare, but does run sometimes on Sunday. Train will run as D #911 if it is a Sunday extra, or runs with a re-crew. I'm not to familiar with the Port Huron operation, except as the crew reads their manifest to the Jacksonville dispatcher to compare notes, there is always a line that says Port Huron instructions-"set off and pick up"...so, this train doesn't currently do anything else in Port Huron. I hope this helps your question.
