Re: Strange MOW work in TC Boardman Yard
MRR: There is PLENTY more in TC than just tourist -based stuff. AC Delco just bought another building next to their plant/warehouse, Lear Corporation has a plant, Sara Lee Bakery (formerly Tyson, and Sara Lee before Tyson) has a large plant/bakery, Northern Logistics, several large cold storage facilities, Alco Steel, Laitner Brush, Elmer's, American Cast Iron Pipe has a yard, many, many other places. There are 3 propane distributers who drive their trucks to Cadillac to off-load propane from rail cars at the propane transload there. Not to mention all the tech and office buildings....
Bill: No cars are stored anywhere in TC, not even the Grawn branch (which is used up to Beacon Recycling). The Williamsburg branch is used as well, so nothing can be stored on that branch anyway. Boardman Yard had a runaround track (1/2 mile long), and a wye, as well as the siding in question here. Also another runaround track in front of the depot.
