There was a train that came across the bridge around 5am and another one going north around 4pm that had empty log cars. Never saw any loaded log cars going south but very well could have been on the 5am train.
On another note LSRS switcher #1501 has been assigned to yard duty in the old D&M yard off Patterson on the north side of the river. It switched S.C. Johnson and Marathon later in the evening then went south across the swing bridge into Foss yard around 8pm to switch Omnisource and Wirts potash operation.
Just when things seemed to get quiet around 12:30am HESR came through Foss Yard headed west toward the swing bridge next to Woodside Avenue pulling coal empties to Durand.
Not sure if full coal will return yet before dawn or anytime in the next 2-3 days.
Lately its been like rail action 1960s style around Bay City.
