We are open to all suggestions – please email to NSAREG5@aol.com
Now to address some of the issues written about;
1. Success – YES
2. It isn’t designed for everybody, but the teams that want to play better competition and qualify for the Super Worlds.
3. Travel was no different than what it has been for many years past on NIT’s – this was all the former B/C Super World NIT’s made into a NIT Series. Nobody had to commit to all the tournaments, we had many that just played in 1 or 2 NIT’s. The Directors Cup NIT Series Membership was designed to give teams – 1. Discount over all the tournaments 2. Direct Berth to Directors Cup Championship, Worlds and Super Worlds for being a member.
4. The back to back thing was just an issue with availability and will be adjusted for 2014.
5. Individual Tournament Cost of $350 is being looked at to see if it can be reduced in 2014, but as far as NSA making money this series was done at a loss in 2013 to help develop a place for the teams to participate against good competition.
6. We also understand having lives outside of softball, but nobody forced or made this the only option for teams to play. It was the Same NIT system just made into a series for the teams that wanted to participate.
7. We are exploring a way to give additional perks to the “GOLD” teams that participate in the series and playing up.
8. Most states do still have “ELITE/GOLD” combo tournaments, the biggest issues is teams not wanting to play better competition and play for “CASH”.
9. As for locations – Each State Director is given (1) one Super NIT, so we gave each a directors cup for the “ELITE/GOLD” NIT. Issues where availability, Directors Support from the start and YES some locations always draw and support their own NIT’s better. Plus we have certain states that travel better than others. But in responds to more should be in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, they where 2 in Indiana and Ohio plus Michigan had 1 and the championships (which gets rotated), that leave 3 others (1 in IL Cancelled, 1 in St. Louis and 1 in Kentucky).
Again we are open to suggestions and ideas to make NSA better for these teams that want to play better competition.
Thanks
