With every surgery, especially at the age of 78 there can be unforeseen complications even if you have prepared for 3 weeks in advance. Tony has had several surgeries in the past few years. We know we had back surgeries and in the past few years he, according to Claudio had been under the weather he looked it. He also walked with a cane. Upon listening to this video, I heard they moved him from post operative intensive care after the 3rd day which complications must have happened that day. Minor surgeries do not stay in post op intensive care for 3 days unless it was a serious surgery that needed monitoring. I'll just use putting in a stent for an example. Complications can arise days after the surgery, there is bleeding, stroke, and blood clots can form and Stent migration which is clogging of the stent. Even though you can plan ahead for a surgery, the body can react to anything. Since I don't know Tony's health, I have worked in surgery for almost 30 years til I retired. The healthiest person can succumb to reactions to surgery. This isn't much of an answer but I'm sure other medical personnel that may post here can tell you that is why we have you sign those papers saying surgery is a risk and you realize it.

This is all very strange. What the heck happened to him? He was prepared for some kind of surgery and a 3 day stay in the hospital. Something went wrong...really wrong, and he went downhill in two days. I understand that he wanted a private life, but someone in his family should be asking some serious questions. Gee Wiz!
