In a way,I can understand that. He probably wanted to be remembered for his own work...not as a half of a couple. HIs most unforgettable work was with Genie, but both of these actors really didn't want their entire careers to be linked to each other. It made it impossible to move on to other things as other pairings and characters paled compared to LnL.. Previous Message
Tony did not want his exit to be about LnL. He did not want any flashbacks or old scenes with LnL. Remember Tony was fed up with LnL at that time. He wanted a quick farewell and chose of all people Sonny to be who he says his last goodbye. Lots of viewers hated the ending. It was what Tony wanted. I read somewhere on the net that Tony's eason to leave GH was a run-in with Ron Carlivati (the head writer). Does anyone know what that was about? When did it occur? The problems between them must have been huge for Tony to walk away and be denied the send-off that he and Luke deserved. I haven't seen gh in a very long time, but I guess all these issues are still very much on the minds of fans and actors. Who is writing for Gh now, and is there any improvement in the writing?
