Hi to J and my other friends here! I don't post too often any more as I stopped watching GH years ago when Tony left. I still watch vintage GH, though. My favorite time period was the 80's until the wedding of LnL. I still have not watched much of the return and after starting in 1993. When things get upsetting in real life, it is a blessing to look at old tapes on youtube and lose myself for a while in great storytelling with brilliant beloved characters.

Losing so many vets is quite depressing. I can only imagine how Genie and Tony feel. Approaching 80 myself, I can truly understand how it must feel to see coworkers passing and to lose the friendship and memories they shared.

I look back with great fondness on the time we spent together here fighting to bring Geniei back to GH as well as to support the work that they did together. No more dedicated fans exist anywhere!!! There was that unforgettable "angel " campaign we created. There were trips and charity events that we shared. We even went to the daytime Emmys and met the actors.

'as the Mom of a professional actor, I realize the personal sacrifices that were made by the cast of GH. Their privacy was affected. Their personal lives were invaded. The magnificent work they achieved was not given the respect it deserved by the entertainment industry. For some who stayed for a long time, their work became a career-killer. Still, their work remains in the hearts of those who delighted in their work.

Personally, the acting and the writing on GH in the 80's remains to be one o my most favorite pieces of fiction. It was a love story for the ages, for sure, Characters were developed slowly in almost real time. Stories served as situations for chapters to develop relationshipe. It didn't; matter if it sci-fi or mob-related. The real story was the love story and the buddy story between almost real characters. There has never been and willl never be the kind of entertainment that GH delivered 5 days a week for years.

The most amazing thing about watching the vintage tapes is the fact that Genie Francis did that work at 17-18 years of age without professional training. Tony and Tristan were amazing, but Genie was a miracle, and so was the chemistry.
