Here is that scene that was a take-off oh GH and Gloria Monty.
Do you remember that classic scene from "Tootsie" when Dustin Hoffman reveals he is not a woman but the brother of a dead sister? That was also a classic soap-like moment. They can twist a story out of anything. It doesn't matter how ridiculous.
Ginger you are so right about that! They can always figure out an explanation, no matter how outlandish!
This conversation reminded me of a movie I bet most people here would remember called "Soapdish". It was a hilarious take on soap operas with Sally Field, Kevin Kline and Whoopie Goldberg.
This is the scene where they discuss bringing a character back from the dead. It's so accurate and hilarious at the same time!
Dead is Never dead on a soap. Even if the dead body is seen, they can re-write it in a hundred ways till Sunday...a lookalike, a strange coma, an unknown twin, false identity papers. The question is whether TG is willing to return. There is no point if he isn't. Maybe he's bored hunkering down in Amsterdam. Maybe he'd like to visit friends in California for a few sunny weeks. Who knows?
Am I the only one who does not believe Luke is dead? No one in the family identified his body. And Victor Cassidine said Luke had been neutralized, not killed. I am reading a lot of people think he has been captured and is with Holly since we last saw her in a cell. I’m not sure how this will all play out if Tony is not planning a short visit but I am going to choose to Luke is still among the living! Also, were Luke and Tracy legally married? I hate that she is planning the memorial. It should be his kids, Bobbie and Laura!
