I know you well enough to know what joy that must have brought you (once the shock wore off!).
I’m nowhere near caught up on GH, in fact I’m a couple years behind. But I do know that yes, that was Michael Knight on the show. And you probably tuned in on a heavy vet day, because they do have a lot of young characters on the show still.
Kelly, I actually watched it today...the whole thing. It was my first viewing since Tony left. Honestly, I didn't know who most of the characters were! But Tracy made an appearance, and she looked great. I love her gray hair, and she looked so classy and elegant. It kept my interest. for sure. Did I recognize Michael Knight there?
I do think they need some younger characters on the show from what I saw today. I love the vets, but they need some teenager and college age kids to bring some needed excitement. I'm so sick of the mob stuff. Sonny and Jason are doing the same old schtick. I was disappointed to see that. There were a few comments about Luke today. He's off on an adventure, and they can't locate him. Ummmm, he's in Amsterdam, Dummies! Try looking there!
I would be freaking out! Like when I was a teenager and wrote to TG & I received an 8x10 B/W autographed picture a few weeks later! By the way..I lately started watching GH again after about a year or so..it's holding my interest and getting pretty good Ginger.
Thats pretty awesome. must have been quite the surprise. Though i guess i'm not surprised. I saw a some web pages this summer where TG seemed to be remembering the good old days and he seemed to be regretfull of how things ended. i can't recall the exact quote, but he said he didn't know why he acted that way (about leaving). Maybe this is his way of reaching out to all of his biggest fans as his heartfelt goodbye to fans rather than all of the bitterness when he left. I wish i had written to him. what a character/actor.
So, in the mail today was a postcard with a beautiful picture of Tony Geary in an elegant tuxedo...one of the best recent photos I have seen of him. The message on the reverse was, "Thanks for the memories!" and his signature. Why now? It was not in response to any letters as I have not written.
Needless to say, I was delighted, and I want to say to him, "Thanks for the wonderful memories!" I wish he were coming back even if only to give our LnL a fitting conclusions or to have us see a compassionate end to Luke. Tony, if you see this, consider a return. Even if only a brief week or two of your work would mean so much to so many people. It certainly would brighten the landscape of GH.
I hope that this note from you means that you still have fond memories of your connections there. You will not be forgotten.
What do you all make of this?
