DOOL still have vets on the show from the 70's. Doug and Julie were my Mom's favorite couple and they are still a couple on Days after 3 decades and they are in their 70's and 80's. They still have the families that were on since the show began just the next generations. Patch and Kayla were a hot couple in the early 80's and are still a couple on the show still with stories written around them. Ron C has integrated these characters where it's about family and there are no mobsters. Of course there are bad guys and that is what makes a show interesting but the bad guys are NOT the stars of the show like GH. I still watch GH and have my favs but never like in the old days.
