It is probably a way to dispose of a popular talent without completely alienating a fanbase. It's a face-saving way, but to Genie's credit, she finds that unacceptable and won't stand for that treatment. So, now they have to live with the repercussions. There comes a point where someone begins to take this personally. If I were Genie, I would probably never return to GH.

So, they gave Maura West the star treatment? That character doesn't deserve a place on GH. It's one of the reasons that I don't watch GH any more. The morality on GH is so off. They are back to the good-guys-are-bad-guys theme. Bye Bye GH.
