I'm almost a big a movie guy as I am a music guy.

My parents were old when i was born.


I was an accident.

Except, my father may have thought a kid might give my mother something to do.

I never had a baby sitter.

My parents took me everywhere they went.

This included a few illegal gambling night clubs.

and, some great music venues...my father loved entertainers.

He saw Elvis twice in Vegas.


From my youth...

There are movies that top my list.

The Greatest Show On Earth is the oldest one. the interesting thing about this one is that it's the movie that made speilberg want to make movies. I fell in love with the gal in the movie ...

Two came near each othher.

The guns of navarone.

On the Beach.

Both Gregory Peck movies.

Last ... It's a Mad, Mad, mad, Mad World.

I went to see it with my best friend on a very, very hot august day. We went mostly for the air conditioning. We never stopped laughing. Got many DVDs of it.


In the 1th grade, we had to read a novel and do a book report.

Nearly everyone did To Kill A Mocking bird.

I did On the Beach.

Later ... the movie came out.

The last time i saw it was at least 30 years ago.

I've been watching a lot of old movies for free on Youtube.

I was working late last night and this blew me away...

Wasn't quite ready to take it all on just yet.

Still processing that we've now been married 59 years.

Gotta make it though the next year.
