Yes, I remember the part in Milt Okun's book where he complained so much about working with Peter Paul & Mary.
He argued with their manager, Albert Grossman, that he could no longer deal with PP&M....especially Mary Travers.
Albert Grossman snapped back:
"Listen Milt. You're a Music Teacher, aren't you? So do your friggin' job and TEACH !!!
As for Mary, I think she's perfect. You just got to get her to work and she'll be fine."
Kinda like when Aladdin complained to his wife ----

I recently read an interesting book about the talented producer and arranger
Milt Okun: Along the Cherry Lane. Okun has nothing but praise for The Chad Mitchell Trio (except regarding Chad's decision to leave), John Denver, The Brothers Four, and Placido Domingo, but describes the difficulties he had with Peter, Paul, and Mary: their inability to sing in harmony or in tune. He describes having to sing the individual part into each one's ear repetitively until the cacophony finally resolved into something like harmony. With Mary habitually singing flat he had occasionally to cut snippets of tape in order to speed up her part. They clearly owed much of their early success to his talent and patience.
