"With Six You Get Egg-Roll"....
but don't forget to order extra Plum Sauce !!!
I haven't listened to Skeeter Davis for over thirty years as I wasn't a big fan.
To me "The End Of The World" was Skeeter's best song but didn't really think much of her singing.
Sorry!
Her real name is Mary Francis but her grandaddy nicknamed her "Skeeter" (as a toddler) because she had such a bundle of energy....
"kinda like a mosquito" he would say.
A name "Skeeter" kept for the rest of her life.
RIP: Skeeter Davis (1931-2004) aged 72

Great song, Larry, and no worries.
My kids are taking me out to Burger King.
Just kidding! Our family is going out for Chinese Food.
With six you get egg roll. :>)
Ken Laing is in my thoughts and prayers too. Life is not easy and getting older complicates things.
(never knew Jim Reeves was killed in a plane crash)

Wishing all you Mothers out there a Happy Mothers Day.
Make sure your kids take you out to a fancy restaurant.
You deserve a celebration bigger and better than a "Big Mac". (hahaha)
AND ALSO - I want to wish Ken a speedy recovery regarding his "Big C".
As Bob Shane (who dealt with Heart problems) used to tell us:
"Gettin' Old Ain't For Sissies"
If that isn't the truth, I don't know what is.
Thoughts, Good Wishes & Prayers are with you, Ken.
Yes, and ----
Remember Country & Western singer Jim Reeves?
Jim had a big hit with his song "He'll Have To Go" in 1959 when he phones his girlfriend and finds out she's got another guy at her home.
Who was to know that 5 years later, Jim Reeves would be killed in a plane crash (age 40) when he lost control of his "single engine"
Beechcraft Debonaire airpane while he unsuccessfully piloted through a major thunderstorm.
What a terrific song "He'll Have To Go" was, sung by Jim Reeves with his unique "velvet" voice. (reaching #1 on the Hit Parade)
Love the way this song begins:
Put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone
Let's pretend that we're together all alone
I'll tell the man to turn the jukebox way down low
And you can tell your friend there with you, he'll have to go.
