In fact, The Kingston Trio's debut album for Decca was pretty good.
I still prefer Capitol Records and Voyle Gilmore but the LP "Nick Bob John" featured a selection of real nice tunes
with the exception of "More Poems". (sorry, Mason Williams)
Ian Tyson (of Ian & Sylvia) wrote "Someday Soon" in the best Country & Western vein,
and with just a hint of autobiographical reference:

And YES Max -- The Kingston Trio were that good.
