Ian Tyson wrote Four Strong Winds to a girl he broke off with two years before. Her name was Evinia Pulos.
During an interview, they had asked Sylvia who is Evinia Pulos?
Sylvia didn't mince words. She said:
"Evinia Pulos was the third person in our marriage."

I read somewhere that Ian & Sylvia were going to release this song as a single. As fate would have it, Ian Tyson, while in NYC,
happened to go to (manager) Albert Grossman's apartment, and within 30 minutes wrote "Four Strong Winds."
