Someone can insult your intelligence without lying to you - by talking-down to you as in, for instance, "mansplaining"..... Conversely, they can "lie to you with a straight face" - in a complex way which, other than being ultimately false or fallacious, does seem reasoned and factual, perhaps building on just one faulty premise or logical fallacy ("Daddy, what's an 'undistributed middle'?) "....

But both at once, especially with a level of intimidation (whether explicitly or implicitly)..... that's "THE HOKE MIND VIRUS"
