Are protest songs back? I sure hope so!

Jesse Welles has recently been playing a late 1980s-early 1990s Ovation acoustic-electric for live performances, such as this one on his November 20th, 2025, appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Jesse may have just sparked a renaissance for live-performance usage of Ovation guitars, not unlike rock players rediscovering and playing retro-cool Danelectro electric guitars.
