I have all of the first ones.
In our previous house ....
I had two stereo systems set up with phonographs.
I rarely used them.
I've never stopped buying albums.
During the last 20 years, maybe longer, I've bought obscure albums that came out in the 1950s,60,s and 70s that I missed when they were new.
I'm sure I have over 100 of them and I've never opened them.
I have stacks and stacks of them.
I figured I'd get around to listening to them some time.
I always thought that one day ... my friend, Tom McGoodwin would come over and we'd open some of them.
You can't tell what's in the boxes they were shipped in.
I figured it would be quite an adventure.
But,he died about 5 years ago.
Probably longer...
A good example might be The Soundtrack for the TV show, "Adventures In Paradise."
I also have tons of CDs that I've bought.
We moved to a new house in 2000.
I boxed all of my albums up because I knew there wasn't going to be enough room for me to have shelves for them.
They're all still in the boxes.
What made me think of this is that where we're living now ... I have no stereo system set up. No room for one.
I do all of my listening with my computer that has the old Bose speakers. IT's OK.
In our previous house my desk was my mother's dining room table with both leaves in it.
Under it I had two Klipsh speakers.
Great sound.
The quality of the sound varies greatly on YouTube.
This one really sucks.
But, here it is for old times sake.
