Sorry to hear about your ordeal at Ken's Pizzeria.
Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago at Katz's Deli in NYC.
Our wives went shopping and the two of us (Norman & Me) stopped off at Katz's Deli. Crowded but good food!
I was talking to Norm about BOB DYLAN and Bob's working on his new album set to be released in 2026.
Norm loves music but his eyes were clearly focused on his cellphone as I was speaking. He then looked up and asked:
"What were you saying, Peter?"
I said:
>>> "Your Pants Are On Fire" <<<
(but I didn't leave)
ps: "Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream" is a tremendous song, Gerry. Thank for sharing!
*** Peace ***

Hi Max and Peter and Crossroaders out there. How you all doing?
I wasn't planning on posting anything today but this time I couldn't resist. Best song? I'll get to that in a few minutes.
First, I need to calm myself down.
I went to lunch today with an old friend. Haven't seen Freddy in several years. I now remember why.
We went to lunch at Ken's Pizza in Burlington, Vt. I asked the pretty waitress if the Restaurant is owned by Ken Laing,
the fella who runs The Kingston Trio Place website.
She answered: "I don't think so. Who's The Kingston Trio?"
The conversation was over and she handed us a menu.
As we were sitting in the Restaurant, I was speaking to Freddy about the state our world is in today,
and I found him staring at his cellphone: STARING AT HIS CELLPHONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got up and left and headed to the Record Store down the street. I lost my appetite.
Second, re BEST SONGS Dept. There's too many to name and obviously "Imagine" by John Lennon would certainly qualify,
as so many Bob Dylan or Paul Simon or Beatles songs - how 'bout George Harrison's "Here Comes The Sun" ?
Phil Ochs' "There But For Fortune" is definitely worth a nod. [most prominent song by Phil]
To be honest, in today's crazy and uncertain world, I'm going with Ed McCurdy's "Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream" (written in 1950).
The words bring tears to my eyes:
